Consultation on School Leadership

Argyll and Bute Council has brought forward proposals to significantly change the leadership structure of schools throughout the county, which may well have far-reaching implications.  In short, Argyll & Bute Council propose to group schools into ‘collectives’ led by Executive Head Teacher teams.   The Mull Community Council is holding a special Public Engagement meeting to hear local opinions about the proposals, before the Community Council submits its response to Argyll & Bute Council’s consultation.  This meeting will be held on Thursday 26 January 2022 at 7.00pm.  Because of Covid the meeting will be held via Zoom (and livestreamed on Facebook) and the Zoom details are below.  The meeting will include a film provided by Argyll & Bute Council that gives further information about their proposals.
It is also open to anyone to submit their  views on the proposals directly to Argyll & Bute Council and the Mull Community Council strongly encourages as many people as possible to do so.  See the website set up by Argyll & Bute Council at Empowering Our Educators – Argyll and Bute Council.
Consultation on the proposals closes on 4 March 2022.
